We are launching an initiative to cover Vårgårda and everything happening in that municipality.

We are now looking for someone who can help us create journalism that engages, explains, and gets to the bottom of things for most of 2026.

What does the job entail?

News, breaking stories, in-depth articles, profiles, live reporting, municipal coverage, moving material – as a reporter at Borås Tidning, you will have the chance to do it all. You will be responsible for coverage in Vårgårda and work closely with a colleague who focuses mainly on Herrljunga. You will be based at our editorial office in Herrljunga but can also work from Borås.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with relevant journalistic education and previous experience as a reporter. You have a good news sense and can work independently. You take initiative, are creative, and self-driven. You are quick and thorough. You have a good eye for what makes an interesting angle. Experience working with moving images is a plus.

More about the position

The position is a special needs employment at 80 percent and lasts from March 1 to December 31, 2026. In the fall of 2026, the initiative will be evaluated, and a decision will be made regarding potential continuation. You will work during the day but also every eighth weekend.
