About Erna Media

Skaraborgs Allehanda, SLA, is the dominant news media in eastern Skaraborg with an editorial office in Skövde and local editorial offices in Tibro, Hjo, and Karlsborg.

We are in an expansive phase where we are heavily investing in local journalism with a strong digital focus. In recent years, we have strengthened the editorial team with four additional reporter positions.

SLA is part of Erna Media AB, a company within the Erna Group that has a clear growth strategy for the coming years. Within the group, we operate in local journalism, marketing, distribution, and property management. We are present in Skaraborg, Dalsland, and Värmland.

The core of our operations is based on our societal mission to strengthen democracy and act as defenders of independent journalism. We contribute to an inclusive society where everyone can participate. Our strongest sustainability tool is journalism, where our editorial teams work daily to monitor and engage in issues related to freedom of expression and other sustainability-related matters.

About the Role

We can promise an exciting and developing summer in Skövde and its surroundings! As a summer substitute, you will take on a lot of responsibility while receiving support from experienced colleagues.

The holiday period with us is during weeks 26-33. The duration of the positions varies, and some summer jobs may start earlier. We are looking for:

• General reporters for the main editorial office in Skövde.
• Sports reporter for the main editorial office in Skövde.
• Local editors for our local editorial offices.

About You

We are primarily looking for someone who is an educated journalist or currently studying journalism and is seeking an exciting and challenging summer job. The positions are full-time during the specified period and involve work in the evenings and on weekends. A B driver's license is required.
