About Erna Media

The Provincial Newspaper Dalsland stands strong as Åmål's own local newspaper. The news site and app are continuously updated with news and reports, and the print newspaper is published three times a week. Åmål is a lively summer town that attracts many visitors and tourists.

The Provincial Newspaper Dalsland is part of Erna Media AB, a company within the Erna Group. Within the group, we operate in local journalism, marketing, distribution, and property management. We are present in Skaraborg, Dalsland, and Värmland.

The core of our operations is based on our societal mission to strengthen democracy and defend independent journalism. We contribute to an inclusive society where everyone can participate. Our strongest sustainability tool is journalism, where our editorial teams work daily to monitor and engage in issues related to freedom of expression and other sustainability-related matters.

About the role

We are looking for fearless and versatile reporters who enjoy working with news and reports on various topics. The work is never boring. One day it’s about straightforward and quick event reporting, the next day it’s about event coverage in the field, in-depth reporting, or capturing an intimate portrait.

We put the people of Åmål at the center, whether it’s about politics, business, culture, or sports. You don’t need to know everything but be prepared to learn with support.

In a small editorial team like PD's, you have the opportunity to take space, grow, and influence the work. Local journalism is a good foundation for developing in the editorial craft.

About you

You should have experience in journalism, from studies and/or practical experience. You are well-informed, forward-thinking, and used to taking responsibility. A driver's license is required, and you need to be able to handle a camera.

The position is a summer substitute during June, July, and August. Start date and extent according to agreement. Please indicate your preferences.
