As a coordinator, your main task will be to provide our new teacher librarians with the right conditions. You are the architect behind the structures that make the school library an integrated part of the school's pedagogical work, in line with the intentions of the Education Act and the Library Act.

Your focus will be on building the foundation for a well-functioning operation:

• Organizational Development: You create common structures and routines for the municipality's school libraries to ensure equitable education for all students.
• Support for Teacher Librarians: You lead networks and professional development for our teacher librarians, so they can grow in their new roles.
• Strategic Quality Work: You develop and implement the municipality's school library plan and support principals in making the library a natural part of teaching.
• Promote Reading and Education: You initiate efforts that strengthen students' reading motivation as well as media and information literacy.
• Collaboration: You work for deeper cooperation between teachers and library staff, where expert competencies complement each other.

What are we looking for in you?

We are looking for a confident person who is driven to create order and build new things. You understand that a successful school library rests on collaboration, clear frameworks, and a strong pedagogical purpose.

You have a degree in library and information science, and it is meritorious if you have experience from school operations. You have experience in driving projects, leading change work, or coordinating operations and have a good ability to translate legal requirements and research into practical, usable structures. Since part of the position will be at our schools throughout the municipality, a B driver's license is required.

As a person, you are structured and have the ability to see the big picture and build systems that last over time. You are relationship-building and skilled at communicating with different professional groups and creating trust with both school management and staff. You are also expected to be inspiring and able to convey the value of the school library as a safe learning environment for education and personal development.
