We are now looking for a part-time WordPress Assistant at Swekaz! Swekaz combines storytelling with education by offering books and lectures about the Holocaust, based on real experiences. The company is run by author and teacher Stefan Kazikowski, who is passionate about spreading knowledge about history and human rights. In addition, Swekaz also offers digitization of old VHS tapes and private tutoring in mathematics and chemistry.

Swekaz is now seeking a WordPress Assistant who will work on developing the organization's website. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing theme changes and layout in WordPress with WooCommerce. You will work on updating and customizing the appearance of the website according to new design guidelines and ensure that the layout functions correctly in both the frontend and backend. The work also includes ongoing support and assistance regarding WordPress. You will help with questions, troubleshooting, and when issues arise related to functions, settings, or structure in the system. The role also involves contributing to a stable and well-functioning web environment by performing checks, adjustments, and improvements as needed.

This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by us at StudentConsulting and work as a consultant at Swekaz. The position is planned to start immediately or by agreement. You will work remotely, but we prefer that you reside in Gothenburg or nearby areas. The extent of the work will be based on need, but you are expected to be able to work five hours per month.

To succeed in this role, we see that you:

• Are studying web development or another relevant field, or have another main occupation
• Have experience with WordPress, either through work and/or internships
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• If you have an interest in history and books, this is highly meritorious

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities! We are looking for someone who is self-driven and confident in taking responsibility for their tasks. You work carefully and systematically, whether it involves making changes in WordPress or troubleshooting a function. You have an eye for detail and ensure that things are right from the start. The role also suits you if you are curious, solution-oriented, and enjoy learning new things in web development. You communicate clearly, collaborate well with others, and contribute a positive attitude in daily work.
