Are you ready for a bigger task? We are currently looking for a driven project manager for the passenger analysis systems group. The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest authority with approximately 40,700 employees across the country. Workplace Description
The main task of the IT department is to provide IT services to the entire Police Authority. The IT department develops and modernizes the police's IT, and the authority invests heavily in strengthening the department with new specialist expertise and the latest technology for the benefit of citizens and employees in the police operations.
Intelligence, border, and international systems have overall responsibility for the development and lifecycle management of system support for the police's intelligence service, entry and border control, alerts, border surveillance, and passenger flows as well as international cooperation. Intelligence, border, and international systems are also responsible for international coordination within IT and for systems for language and text analysis.
Job Description
In your role as project manager, you will work with the development team to drive the development of capabilities in the products owned by the team. You will lead the team by setting long-term and short-term goals, following up on deliveries, and working to quickly change direction if priorities change. The capabilities we deliver will evolve over time, and your responsibility is to lead that work, from start to finish, together with, among others, requirements analysts, technical product specialists, and representatives from the business.
As a project manager, you will:
- Act as an advisor and expert to the business
- Engage in needs dialogue with the business together with the requirements analyst
- Support the product owner in strategic issues regarding product development
- Coordinate and organize work between different groups in the IT department and the rest of the business
- Lead meetings and conduct workshops
- Ensure that the team delivers small and continuous deliveries with the right quality
- Drive ongoing improvement and development of routines
- Ensure that the team focuses on benefits and effects and that everyone in the team knows what we need to achieve
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree in a relevant field or equivalent acquired experience that the employer deems relevant
- Many years of relevant and current experience in leading, coordinating, and structuring development within IT as assessed by the employer, such as product owner, project manager, or project leader
- Good technical understanding of software development or IT infrastructure
- Several years of work experience leading development work in a complex environment with many different stakeholders
- Several years of work experience with agile methodology in development teams
- Good knowledge of expressing yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
The position requires Swedish citizenship
It is meritorious if you have experience in the following:
- Experience from systems with high security and performance requirements
- Several years of experience in technical system management
- Experience in system integration
- Worked as a web or system developer
