About Us

The Palliative Unit at Skaraborg Hospital Skövde is looking for a junior doctor who is interested in meeting and caring for the most severely ill patients.

The unit has a stable medical staffing and we provide palliative care focusing on symptom relief and good nursing. Our department is a so-called intervention department where care is tailored to the patient's needs, and many can be discharged home again when their treatment is completed. With us, you will enjoy a pleasant working environment and guidance from experienced colleagues.

Job Description

The position is based in our inpatient department where you will perform admissions and discharges, participate in ward rounds, and conduct patient/family discussions. The work will be carried out in close collaboration with the responsible physician of the department. You will also have the opportunity to accompany our mobile team on home visits.

You will encounter a wide range of different diagnoses and medical conditions, but above all, many unique patient interactions!

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician and have the authority to act as a substitute, but also for those who have completed their studies with approved courses in the medical program at a Swedish university up to the ninth semester. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
