We provide health-promoting and therapeutic interventions based on each individual's unique needs and circumstances, and we have specialist knowledge of how disabilities can affect daily life, health, and development.

Description

In your role as an occupational therapist at Habilitation Borås, you will provide specialized interventions to individuals over 18 years old with congenital or early-acquired permanent disabilities that cause significant difficulties in daily life.

The specialization includes both breadth and in-depth knowledge in several areas. At Habilitation, we work in interdisciplinary teams with medical and psychosocial expertise. The catchment area for Habilitation Borås includes municipalities in Södra Älvsborg, and the workplace is located in Borås. The work involves, among other things, travel to our reception in Alingsås.

Responsibilities

As an occupational therapist, you are an important team member. Your tasks include assessing activity ability and activity level, as well as treating and teaching strategies to facilitate daily life. You will also evaluate, prescribe, and follow up on individually adapted aids. Providing information, guidance, and consultation to patients, relatives, and staff, as well as collaborating with other healthcare providers and authorities, is part of your responsibilities. The work takes place in the habilitation facilities and based on the needs in the patient's immediate environment. All interventions are planned together with the patient and occur both in groups and individually.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist. Knowledge and experience working with our target groups are desirable. It is advantageous to have knowledge of and experience in assessment and treatment regarding both movement-related and cognitive difficulties. Experience with assessment tools such as Ka-Tid, ATMS-S, and COPM is meritorious, as well as training in group intervention Ha Koll and ReDO.

You have a pronounced patient focus that you apply in assessment and treatment, in interdisciplinary work, and in collaboration with others. You have a good ability to reflect on your work in dialogue with colleagues and management, as well as confidence in making your own professional assessments. You have a positive attitude towards collaboration and sharing knowledge and experiences. Additionally, you possess personal qualities such as good organizational and structuring skills in your patient work, are flexible, independent, and have good collaboration skills. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. The position involves travel, so a B driver's license is required.
