Are you the one who makes it possible to stay at home? We are now looking for care assistants for home care in Torslanda.

Working in elderly care gives you the opportunity to contribute to joy and well-being. The goal is for the care recipients to have meaningful days, where you provide good care and social support. You will have the opportunity to develop in your professional role while making a difference for those we are here for. Your working hours are scheduled during the day and every other weekend. Working in home care means that you support and assist the care recipient in their own home based on approved services. You will travel to the individual's home on foot, by e-bike, or by car. Your work includes practical help with personal hygiene and care, support during meals, activities, laundry, cleaning, and more.

Your tasks include being a contact person/primary care contact, and you will, together with the individual, plan, implement, update, and document the work. It also includes performing health and medical care and rehabilitation interventions as prescribed by a nurse, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist. All social documentation is done digitally. If you have not previously used the systems used within the city of Gothenburg, you will receive training in these.

About You

Qualifications

• We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant, can show the National Board of Health and Welfare's certificate of protected professional title, or can demonstrate that you were employed as a care assistant when the new regulations were introduced.
• Comfortable using an e-bike as a work vehicle.
• Driver's license (B).
• Since we document and communicate in Swedish, you need to be able to speak and write in Swedish.

Meritorious

• Work experience in care and support.
• Experience as a primary care contact.
• Experience in coordinating individual plans.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health issues.

As a care assistant in home care, you are friendly and helpful to others even in stressful situations. Your workplace is the care recipient's home, and you show respect for everyone you meet at work. In your role, you take responsibility for your and the group's tasks. In your work, the care recipient's best interest is the focus.

In your role, you are calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure. As a care assistant, you convey information and ideas clearly both verbally and in writing. You adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation, ensuring that your message is received. The tasks vary based on the care recipient's needs, so it is important that you can adjust how you work when things change.
