About the Position

We are currently looking for business-driven Strategic Buyers for our client Saab in Linköping. Here, you will support Saab's business areas within indirect materials and services. In this role, you will be responsible for both operational and tactical purchasing tasks and collaborate with a wide network within Saab and our suppliers to create stronger business together.

The position is a consulting assignment starting as soon as possible, considering notice period, and lasts for 12 months with a good chance of extension. Selection and interviews are ongoing, so the position may be filled before the application deadline. We warmly welcome your application!

Your Main Responsibilities

• Be responsible for developing and implementing strategic purchasing solutions within assigned segments
• Conduct commercial negotiations and ensure well-designed supplier contracts
• Coordinate and drive work in supplier groups in close collaboration with internal functions
• Build and strengthen long-term partnerships with both new and existing suppliers
• Ensure systematic follow-up and evaluation of supplier performance related to total cost, quality, lead times, and delivery reliability
• Initiate and implement necessary improvement activities in a structured and goal-oriented manner

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with a business strategic approach who thrives in roles where technology meets business and operations. You have experience in strategic purchasing, procurement, or contract management, preferably in technically complex environments. You are analytical, confident in commercial negotiations, and accustomed to working cross-functionally. With a technical interest and a relationship-focused approach, you create long-term partnerships.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• A university degree in economics or another relevant field
• Several years of experience in business-driven roles, such as strategic purchasing or procurement
• Good negotiation skills, preferably in complex and international contexts
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
