We are now looking for a strategic buyer for exciting long-term consulting assignments with our client in the manufacturing industry in Linköping. These are central roles where you will drive supplier strategies, negotiations, and commercial processes that contribute to both efficiency and cost savings.

About the assignment

As a consultant with our client, you will:

• Be responsible for a number of suppliers and their contracts.
• Support projects and programs with commercial responsibility.
• Continuously evaluate the market competitiveness of the supplier portfolio.
• Prepare inquiries, evaluate offers, negotiate, and place purchase orders.
• Drive cross-functional teams focused on improvements.
• Ensure that purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures are followed.

The role involves many points of contact, both internally and externally, as well as travel within Sweden in connection with supplier evaluations.

We are looking for someone who has:

• 4–12 years of experience in strategic purchasing.
• Preferably experience from the manufacturing industry.
• Documented experience in negotiation and supplier development.
• Familiarity with working with ERP systems, purchasing systems, and Excel.
• The ability to quickly understand new contexts, work structurally, and collaborate effectively.
• For this role, Swedish citizenship is required.
