We are now looking for an experienced strategic purchaser for a long-term and developing consulting assignment within the manufacturing industry. The role is strategically important and involves a broad responsibility for supplier relationships, commercial processes, and purchasing strategies that contribute to both efficiency and cost savings. The assignment is suitable for you who thrive in a business-oriented role with many contact points and who want to work consultatively in a complex organization.

In the role of strategic purchaser, you will be responsible for a number of suppliers and associated contracts, ensuring that they meet the business's needs and goals. You will support projects and programs with commercial responsibility and actively contribute to cross-functional collaborations. The work involves continuously analyzing the market's competitiveness within the supplier portfolio, preparing inquiries, evaluating offers, conducting negotiations, and placing purchase orders. Furthermore, you will drive improvement initiatives together with internal and external parties and ensure that purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures are followed. The role involves both internal and external contacts as well as travel within Sweden in connection with supplier evaluations.

• 3–7 years of experience in strategic purchasing

• Experience in negotiation and supplier development

• Familiarity with working in ERP systems, purchasing systems, and Excel

• Good ability to quickly understand new contexts

• Structured working method and good collaboration skills

• Experience from the manufacturing industry

• Location: Linköping

• Work model: Hybrid, approximately 3 days per week on-site

• Assignment period: December 1, 2025 – November 30, 2026

• Possibility of extension: Yes

• Travel: Occurs within Sweden
