The Sterile Technology Unit in Karlstad is organized under anesthesia-surgery-intensive care and is responsible for medical single-use and reusable products for various healthcare providers in Värmland.

We work in process groups, which are certified according to SS-ISO9001:2015.

We are approximately 8600 employees working in healthcare, dental care, regional development, public transport, as well as culture and education.

Healthcare is Region Värmland's largest operation. Together with our patients, we strengthen public health and develop healthcare so that it can contribute to a world-class quality of life for the people of Värmland. We operate health centers throughout the county and many other specialist clinics. In Värmland, there are emergency hospitals in Arvika, Karlstad, and Torsby.

Your Responsibilities

We need more colleagues! At the Sterile Technology Unit, we work with instrument and sterile goods management, including cleaning, functional control, inspection, and sterilization. We order, store, and deliver sterile materials. In your daily work, you will be involved in our systematic quality work and continuous improvements. As a new employee with us, you will receive training from a mentor. Evening and weekend shifts are included.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for someone who is a trained sterile technician and/or has professional experience in sterile operations or surgery. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and good collaboration skills.

You should enjoy working both in a team and independently. You are meticulous and not averse to working at a high pace at times. You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions. You are well aware of goals and quality standards.
