Occupational Therapist to Primary Care East
If you want a varied and stimulating job at our clinic, which is part of the transition to Close Care in Västmanland, then this job is for you.
Welcome to a workplace that is facing an exciting time of development!
About the workplace
Primary Care East operates in both Sala and Västerås. At the clinic, primary care is provided to meet the residents' needs for basic internal medicine specialist care, specialized palliative care, advanced home care via AH teams, and qualified rehabilitation efforts as well as mobile care teams in collaboration with the municipalities' home care services.
In Sala, there is a primary care department - ward 1, an AH team, and a care team, a medical reception, and a rehabilitation unit - the rehabilitation unit. In Västerås, the clinic is tasked with running a primary care department in Västerås (NÄVA). There is a specialized palliative ward, a palliative advisory team, an AH team, and a care team.
At the Rehabilitation Unit, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, speech therapists, and rehabilitation assistants work. We provide rehabilitation resources to all our units in Sala, but we also have a physiotherapy-social worker-speech therapy reception and team-based outpatient care. We work from a person-centered approach.
We offer you:
- to create good care for our patients together with colleagues.
- a workplace with a good working environment with opportunities for participation, influence, and professional development.
- to participate in the work towards a more digitized operation. We are happy to try new digital work tools.

Job Responsibilities
You will primarily work in our care department, but work in outpatient care may also occur depending on needs and wishes. Regardless of where you work, you will be part of different teams around the patients and meet patients in several different functional areas. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to be involved in this development. The work includes occupational therapy tasks such as assessment, treatment, training individually or in groups, planning for discharge, and prescribing aids.
Supervision of students occurs. We also collaborate with the municipality's rehab team, which we are now co-located with in our new premises.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist, preferably with a few years of experience in healthcare. If you have worked with or are interested in patients with various rehabilitation needs, medically multi-sick patients, and palliative care, this position is something for you. We would like you to have experience in orthopedic rehabilitation but also knowledge in the internal medicine area such as COPD-heart rehabilitation as well as in stroke and cancer/palliative care. We also value if you have an interest or experience in business development and digitization. Furthermore, we see that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
You who apply are a secure and stable person. We see that you take responsibility for your tasks by structuring and driving your work forward. You are flexible and can quickly change your approach to adapt to new circumstances when the situation requires it. Furthermore, you communicate clearly while being attentive to patients' different needs. Since you will work in a team, we see that you have good collaboration skills, where you relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner.
