The Breast Radiology Clinic, BRK, in Västmanland is a proud clinic at the forefront. Are you the "mammography nurse" we are looking for?
Job Responsibilities
The Breast Radiology Clinic uses the term "mammography nurse" as a collective term for imaging radiographers or nurses.
As a mammography nurse at BRK, you will have a variety of tasks, including:
- X-raying breasts with mammography in both the screening flow and during breast cancer investigations as well as during all cancer checks and hereditary checks
- Breast palpation of investigation patients
- Assisting with ultrasound and sample collections
- Phone contact with patients for rescheduling and cancellations as well as answering questions about our investigations
- Booking MR-breasts and contrast mammographies
When you start with us, you will receive a tailored 10-week training/education under supervision on all our equipment and data systems. This also includes training in all work routines.
The tasks are constantly changing as we are a clinic in continuous development, and you should want to be part of that journey. We would like you to show interest in driving one of our areas of responsibility after some time at the clinic.
The mammography nurses, like everyone else at the clinic, share time off, both short and long.
About the Workplace
The Breast Radiology Clinic, BRK, performs both breast cancer screening with mammography and advanced breast investigations with mammography, tomosynthesis, contrast mammography, ultrasound, and MR-breasts as well as various types of sample collections and indications. BRK hosts multidisciplinary conferences, MDK, for breast cancer, 1-2 times each week.
BRK actively participates in the regional breast tumor process together with our equally dedicated colleagues from several other clinics. BRK actively participates in the regional healthcare working groups for breast cancer screening and breast cancer.
BRK is a well-staffed clinic that has helped 4 other regions with screening reviews, MR reviews, and investigations on-site and elsewhere over the past 12 months. This places demands and develops all employees at the clinic who receive new tasks as a result of these collaborations.
BRK currently has 29 employees; 2 medical secretaries, 19 mammography nurses (radiographers and nurses), and 8 doctors.
For us, it is important that you feel good and enjoy your job, which is why we offer you:
- tailored introduction program to make you feel secure and confident in your professional role
- opportunity for professional development through internal training
- a workplace for different stages of life, with the possibility of flexible working hours within certain limits
- free training at our fully equipped gym
- healthcare allowance of 3000 SEK/year
