Do you want a developing job in psychiatry?
Do you want a developing job and feel that what you do is meaningful? Are you curious about psychiatry or do you want to deepen your competence further? Then ward 97 might be the right place for you.
With us, you will work closely with patients alongside an experienced and dedicated team in an operation that combines structure, development, and a clear focus on care.
Job Responsibilities
As a nurse in ward 97, you have a central role in the care around the patient. You work in a team with other nurses, caregivers, doctors, and other professionals in psychiatry. The role includes being responsible for care and having a leadership function in daily work. You plan, coordinate, and follow up on care interventions based on the patient's individual needs and actively work with the caring conversation as an important part of the patient's recovery.
The work involves close collaboration with outpatient care, the municipality, relatives, and other care providers. Patient safety and quality are a natural part of everyday life, and the work is varied, with situations requiring both independence, good collaboration skills, and the ability to make decisions even in complex situations. During the night, ward 97 and 95 collaborate, which means that the nursing staff on duty is responsible for the care and patient safety of both wards. Ward 95 is a general psychiatric ward with 15 beds, primarily caring for older adults with mental health issues.
You will receive a structured introduction tailored to your previous experience, with a mentor for guidance and support. For newly graduated nurses, there is also an opportunity to participate in the Region's professional development program. The work includes regular competence development according to the operation's annual cycle, external supervision, and daily reflection in the form of mirroring, which is an integrated part of the working method in the ward.
As a registered nurse, there is an opportunity to further educate yourself as a specialist nurse in psychiatry with a study salary.
About the Workplace
Ward 97 is a general psychiatric care ward that primarily cares for young adults with mental health issues. The ward has eleven beds and two beds for voluntary admission. Voluntary admission is part of a crisis management strategy where patients, through an agreement with the ward, can seek inpatient care directly when needed. The aim is to reduce the need for acute interventions, involuntary care, and long hospital stays while strengthening the patient's participation and control over their own care and daily life.
The ward has good competence in eating disorders and a close collaboration with the eating disorder unit. We work with case management and establish care plans in consultation with the patient, relatives, and outpatient care. Patients are cared for both under voluntary care and according to LPT.
For us, it is important that you feel good and thrive at work; therefore, we offer you:
- A varied job where you have a central role as a nurse and team leader.
- A structured introduction with the possibility of a mentor for guidance and support.
- Health benefits of 3,000 SEK per year.
- Free access to a well-equipped gym.
