Job Responsibilities

The flexible service means that you work flexibly across the entire clinic and rotate between our three operating units to maintain a broad competence in each unit. You have a basic schedule, but as a resource in staffing, you will be placed where the need is greatest for the day. With us, you will have the opportunity to broaden your skills while being an important part of the team around the patient. You will work closely with nursing assistants, operating room nurses, and doctors.

As an anesthetist nurse, you are responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring anesthesia as well as the patient's vital functions before, during, and after surgery. In the flexible service, you are part of the hospital's alarm chain, which may involve working in external units as needed and ambulance transports for patients who need a different level of care.

Working Hours

We offer work in our round-the-clock operations with a time valuation model of 37 hours per week. Region Västmanland also has a local agreement with Vårdförbundet and SRAT that provides increased compensation for inconvenient working hours for nurses, midwives, radiology nurses, and biomedical analysts.

About the Workplace

The operations clinic is responsible for all surgical care in Västmanland. Parts of the day surgery operations are carried out at the hospital in Köping. The more extensive surgery, both emergency and elective, takes place in Västerås. The surgical operations consist of surgery, urology, gynecology, robotic surgery, orthopedics, vascular surgery, and ear-nose-throat surgery. There are a total of 23 operating rooms in the clinic, of which four rooms are in Köping and 18 rooms are in Västerås.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and have a specialist nursing education with a focus on anesthesia nursing. A requirement for the position is that you have several years of experience as an anesthetist nurse in emergency care. If you have also worked in the Cosmic or Orbit journal systems, we see it as an advantage. Since our work is often governed by documents in Swedish, you need to have good knowledge of the language, both spoken and written.

You who apply are secure and stable as a person. We see that you plan and structure your work, as well as that you can quickly prioritize and adapt to changed circumstances when the situation requires it. You have a good ability to collaborate with others by listening and communicating in a clear and constructive manner.

Employment Conditions

Permanent employment: Full-time
Working hours: Schedule with rotation for day, evening, night, weekend
Workplace: Västerås

The flexible service includes an appointment for two years with an associated salary supplement. Start date by agreement.
