Job Responsibilities

Under supervision, perform common tasks as a junior doctor in radiology. This includes diagnostic ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and basic interventions, as well as reviewing, interpreting, and responding to examinations across all radiological methods. On-call duties and ward work are included in the event of an extension of the position. You will also be responsible for your own theoretical education and participation in the clinic's teaching and development work.

We offer a well-organized ST training with good supervision in a very pleasant and open climate. Currently, we have over 10 ST doctors but want to grow. The clinic also conducts structured development work towards high goals. Interest in research is encouraged, and there are good opportunities for collaboration with the Center for Clinical Research. The work is conducted in suitable premises with a high technical and work environment standard.

About the Workplace

The radiology clinic is a regional clinic where the main placement for doctors is in Västerås with rotating duties at the department in Köping and remote review of examinations from Sala and Fagersta. The clinic has about 160 employees with nearly 35 doctors in total, of which about 10 are ST doctors.

Qualifications

You are a licensed physician with knowledge of Swedish corresponding to at least C2. Work experience from Swedish healthcare is an advantage, especially with good references from Region Västmanland. Previous service in radiology or related specialties, as well as technical knowledge and experience with radiological examination methods, is seen as an advantage. Approved basic service and experience in leadership, mentoring, teaching, or merits in education and research are also valuable qualifications.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. As a person, you are secure, stable, and have self-awareness. You work well with others, relating to them in a responsive and smooth manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. You are service-oriented and accommodating in your approach. It is also important that you are structured, accustomed to planning and organizing work effectively, and can handle working under stress.

Employment Conditions

Permanent full-time employment, usually starting with 6 months of probation. Start date by agreement.
