Job Responsibilities
As a nursing assistant in the Infectious Disease Clinic's care department, you will be responsible for the basic care of patients, mobilization, monitoring of vital parameters, nutritional needs, sampling, wound dressing, and documentation in Cosmic. With us, you will care for patients of all ages. Infectious disease care is an exciting and educational field, where you will encounter both acutely ill patients and patients in a less critical stage.
In the department, we work in teams where you, as a nursing assistant, have an important role and will collaborate with nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. As a new employee, you will be offered an introduction tailored to your conditions, with support from mentors. There is also the opportunity to participate in further education where you can influence your own professional development.
About the Workplace
The Infectious Disease Clinic is responsible for specialized infectious disease care in Västmanland. We are a smaller clinic consisting of a care department and a specialist outpatient clinic. The clinic is a well-functioning operation with about 80 dedicated employees, where there is a strong sense of belonging and a clear ambition to always do the best for the patient. We are on a good path towards our goal - to become Sweden's best Infectious Disease Clinic.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with an interest in infectious disease care. We would like you to have experience working with acutely and severely ill patients. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge and experience of NEWS monitoring and sampling. Knowledge of the Cosmic journal system is an asset. In this role, you need to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, relatives, and colleagues, which requires good knowledge of the Swedish language.
As a person, you are secure and stable. You take responsibility and initiative to drive your work forward. A workday with us can change quickly, and therefore we see it as important that you have the ability to adapt in challenging situations while maintaining your calm and focus. Since we often work in teams, we see that you have a good ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner. You have an empathetic and professional approach to both patients, relatives, and colleagues. We place extra emphasis on personal qualities.
Employment Conditions
Permanent employment, full-time. Working hours with rotation for days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Start date by agreement. A probationary period may be applied.
