Operating Nurse for the Orthopedic Clinic in Västerås

We are looking for an operating nurse to join our team. The position is as an operations planner for the Orthopedic Clinic in Västerås.

Job Responsibilities

As an operating nurse at the Orthopedic Clinic, you will have varied tasks due to our broad operations. You will work with booking and planning patient visits and surgeries, as well as providing telephone advice. Independent consultations may occur, such as suture removal, as well as consultations together with doctors. Working hours are during the day.

The Orthopedic Clinic in Västmanland is responsible for orthopedic care throughout the county. Planned day surgery is largely performed at Västmanlands Hospital Köping, while larger planned surgeries and all emergency care take place at Västmanlands Hospital Västerås.

About the Workplace

The Orthopedic Clinic in Västmanland has three locations – in Västerås, Sala, and Köping. There are two care departments, one in Västerås and one in Sala. The clinic also has a unit for occupational therapy and physiotherapy.

We also staff our own day surgery operating room in Västerås. Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialized training in operating room nursing. You have several years of experience in the healthcare profession. Experience in orthopedics and/or outpatient work and/or work in a care department is an advantage.

It is important that you are secure and grounded in your professional role as the position involves a lot of advising. In your communication, you are clear and strive to meet patients and colleagues in a professional manner. Always putting the patient at the center and creating good meetings is natural for you.

Since the tasks vary from day to day, we place great emphasis on personal suitability, teamwork ability, and the ability to quickly adapt to the needs of the organization. If you have knowledge of and/or experience with the Cosmic journal system, we see it as an advantage.

In the role of operating nurse within operations planning, it is advantageous if you have knowledge and experience with the Orbit journal system. As the role involves dialogue with colleagues, patients, and relatives, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language and be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing. Furthermore, you need to have good IT skills. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Employment Conditions

Permanent employment, full-time, daytime. Start date according to agreement.
