Medical Care Resource for Region Västmanland

By summer 2026, we are looking for you who are in your 7th semester of the medical program and want to take the next step towards your future professional role. As a medical care resource, you will become part of the everyday life of healthcare – where you can contribute to the team around the patient, develop your clinical understanding, and simultaneously gather valuable experience for the upcoming steps in your education.

You will be placed at one of our facilities in Region Västmanland, where you will become part of an engaged team. We offer a personalized introduction and the opportunity to learn, test your knowledge, and grow in the role, all in an environment that is both educational and safe.

Job Responsibilities

As a medical care resource, you will work closely with patients and be part of a care team with several professions. Here you will practically apply and develop your knowledge by participating in various aspects of the care chain – from admission and discharge to handover, pre- and post-operative care, and some medication management. A role that provides both responsibility, learning, and valuable insight.

Qualifications

You who are applying have completed the 7th semester of the medical program by summer 2026.

If you are qualified as a Junior Doctor (completing the 9th semester by summer 2026), we refer you to apply for advertised positions as a Junior Doctor instead.

As a person, you are curious and engaged, and enjoy collaborating in a team. You take responsibility for your tasks, are structured in your work approach, and dare to ask questions to develop. We know that you are still a student – what is important to us is your interest, your willingness to learn, and your ability to contribute to good collaboration.

Since you need to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, relatives, and colleagues in this role, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required. Other language skills are an advantage.

Employment Conditions

Summer temporary position during the summer period of 2026. Full-time or part-time. Schedule day, night, or rotation.

Start date according to agreement.
