About the Workplace
The Ambulance Care in Region Västmanland constitutes its own clinic within the field of Emergency Care. With seven stations, 16 ambulances, and approximately 40,000 missions per year, we work around the clock to provide care where it is needed most – quickly, professionally, and with great commitment.
We operate our own alarm center, the Healthcare Alarm Center, which is responsible for prioritizing and directing ambulances in Västmanland, Uppsala, Södermanland, and Värmland. In Västmanland, our alarm operators (nurses) receive about 65,000 calls from those seeking help each year.
We also have a pre-hospital competence center where we invest in skill development through practical training and education – for both current and future employees. We also conduct clinical research in care, technology, and leadership. We are also responsible for the region's SMS lifesaving operations.
For us, it is important that you feel good and thrive at work, therefore we offer you:
- Introductory year with concept training and driving training
- Development in your professional role through our own educational organization with a large number of courses and opportunities for research
- Individual scheduling and the region's working time model, where night work results in a lower weekly working time
- Great opportunities for rotation positions within or outside the clinic
- A secure employment and employee benefits
- Mentorship
- Wellness allowance of 3000 SEK/year
