Job Responsibilities

As a nurse at the Dermatology Clinic, your work is varied and offers great opportunities for development. The job includes telephone counseling, patient contact via 1177, initiation and follow-up of medication treatment, as well as assisting in surgeries and other consultations. You will also meet patients during your own consultation visits for the initiation of biological medications, handle cases in connection with and after medical visits, wound care, and dressing changes are a natural and important part of the job. There is also the possibility to take responsibility for your own profile/responsibility area.

We will of course provide you with an introduction to ensure you feel safe and secure in your work.

About the Workplace

The Dermatology Clinic is responsible for the care and nursing of patients with dermatological and venereological diseases in the Västmanland Region. The clinic consists of a dermatology reception and a venereology reception. Patients with various skin diseases are referred here for diagnosis and treatment. The clinic also has a venereology reception where patients are diagnosed and treated for sexually transmitted diseases. At the clinic, 34 employees work in various professional categories such as doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, social workers, and administrative staff. Currently, we have 8 nurses rotating between different positions.

We work in beautiful and renovated premises in the old hospital, now the Regional House.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse. It is an advantage if you have experience working as a nurse, experience in telephone counseling, and a genuine interest in wound care and skin diseases. A large part of the job involves communicating with patients, relatives, and colleagues, so we require that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language. We also prefer that you have experience with the Cosmic journal system or another journal system.

As a person, you are empathetic, accommodating, and always have the patient in focus. You are confident and stable in your professional role and thrive in a varied environment that demands your flexibility. Since teamwork is important to us, we see that you have the ability to work with others, but also that you are structured and work well independently. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Permanent position, 100%. Daytime Monday-Friday. Location: Västerås
