Physiotherapist at Habilitation Center
Would you like to work in an organization that creates opportunities for people with disabilities to live a good life? We are now looking for a physiotherapist for a one-year temporary position.
Job Responsibilities
Your work will include conducting motor assessments, providing treatment interventions, assessing the need for, prescribing, and fitting assistive devices, as well as keeping records. As a physiotherapist, you may have individual training sessions with patients or work in groups. This can include pool training, strength training, and motor skills training. Depending on the patient's needs, visits may take place at the clinic, digitally, in the patient's home/residence, or at their place of employment/occupation.
You will also provide training, information, and consultative services to the patient's network. Interventions for patients often occur through a network-oriented approach, in collaboration with other healthcare providers and authorities and municipal services.
As a physiotherapist at the Habilitation Center, your work is independent and varied. You are part of a multidisciplinary team where you contribute your physiotherapeutic expertise alongside two other colleagues. Your interventions will primarily be provided to individuals with mobility impairments, but our patients may also have additional diagnoses such as intellectual disabilities and autism. We also collaborate within habilitation to ensure our patients receive their interventions in a timely manner. This means that you may, if necessary, provide interventions to patients within other teams and units.
About the Workplace
The habilitation service aims to support and provide people with disabilities the conditions to live a good life. We offer support, advice, and treatment to children, adolescents, and adults with disabilities in the areas of intellectual disabilities, autism, and mobility impairments. We also provide support and consultation to relatives, caregivers, and networks. The Habilitation Center is a regional specialist service with approximately 150 employees distributed across our units in Västerås, Köping, and Fagersta.
Our operations are divided into child and adult teams that work closely together. This position is based in the Adult Team. We have a close and good collaboration and jointly develop proposals for measures for our patients that can compensate for the difficulties that disabilities may entail in daily life.
Within the organization, there are several units with different missions.
It is important to us that you feel good and enjoy your job, which is why we offer you:
- A varied job in a workplace with a good working climate
- Access to a professional mentor with extensive knowledge.
- Orientation program to help you feel secure in your role and thrive.
- Professional meetings with other physiotherapists within the organization for professional development and experience sharing.
- Internal training in areas such as AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication).
- Free access to our fully equipped gym
- Wellness allowance of 3000 SEK/year

Qualifications
We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist, preferably with experience in habilitation or working with individuals with mobility impairments. If you have previously worked with treatment, as well as provided consultative interventions and conducted training, informational sessions, or group activities, that is something we view positively. You need to be able to communicate and express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have a B driver's license.
Your personal qualities are important to us. You can take responsibility for your work, both independently and together with others, always with the patient's needs in focus. You are clear in communication and engaged in both individual meetings and group activities. You have good collaboration skills, are attentive and accommodating, and enjoy multidisciplinary work from a patient-centered perspective. As a person, you are secure, stable, and positive about planning and leading group activities as a complement to individual interventions.
