As a specialist/consultant in Gastroenterology at the Medicine Clinic in Köping, you will work both in outpatient care and within a comprehensive endoscopic operation. Here, we work with short decision-making paths, an open climate, and a strong community.

Job Responsibilities

As a specialist physician in gastroenterology, you will perform gastroscopies and colonoscopies. Your work also includes outpatient care where you independently conduct new and follow-up visits.

You will also act as a mentor for our ST doctors and as a specialist consultant for your colleagues at the clinic. We see that you have an interest in being involved in developing our operations and contributing to keeping us at the forefront in the field.

For those with a double specialization in internal medicine, there is an opportunity to join the on-call team.

About the Workplace

The Medicine Clinic in Köping has 72 internal medicine beds distributed across 3 wards with different medical specialties such as cardiology, hematology, gastroenterology, nephrology, diabetes, and an acute stroke unit with rehabilitation. In Köping, there is also, among other things, an Urgent Care Center, a cardiac intensive care unit, and a dialysis clinic. Our operations also include a mobile nursing team and AH operations.

Köping is responsible for the region's work with the national screening program for colorectal cancer, which gives you a central role in preventive work.

As a gastroenterologist with us, you will have a varied everyday life where you split your time between outpatient care and our extensive endoscopic operations. You will work in a team primarily with nurses and nursing assistants.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed physician with a specialization in gastroenterology. To succeed in the role, we see that you have good practical experience in the field. We consider it an advantage if you also have a specialization in internal medicine.

Since you will need to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, relatives, and colleagues, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required. If you have previously worked in the Cosmic journal system, we consider that an advantage.

We are looking for someone who is confident, stable, and has good self-awareness. You collaborate well with others by listening and communicating clearly. You can resolve conflicts constructively. The role of a physician requires the ability to lead and mentor others with a respectful and positive approach. You are meticulous and well aware of our goals and quality standards and have a good ability to make correct assessments and priorities.

Employment Conditions

Permanent position. Full-time Daytime. Start date by agreement.
