Job Responsibilities

As an anesthesiology nurse, you will have a basic placement and work in one of the operating department's units. You have great opportunities to become a specialist in your home section and take responsibility for your own area based on your interests and competencies. With us, you will broaden your knowledge and rotate through all our units, with the possibility to also rotate to pre- and post-operative departments.

The position includes working at external units when anesthesiology assistance is needed. The anesthesiology nurse is part of the hospital's alarm chain and participates in ambulance transports with patients to other hospitals that require a different level of care. You will be part of the team around the patient together with nursing assistants, operating room nurses, and doctors.

Working Hours

We offer work in our round-the-clock operations with a time valuation model of 37 hours per week. Region Västmanland also has a local agreement with Vårdförbundet and SRAT that provides increased compensation for inconvenient working hours for nurses, midwives, radiology nurses, and biomedical analysts.

About the Workplace

The operating clinic is responsible for all surgical care in Västmanland. Parts of the day surgery operations are conducted at the hospital in Köping. The more extensive surgery, both acute and elective, takes place in Västerås. The surgical operations consist of surgery, urology, gynecology, robotic surgery, orthopedics, vascular surgery, and ear-nose-throat surgery. There are a total of 23 operating rooms in the clinic, of which four rooms are in Köping and 18 rooms are in Västerås.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and have a specialist nursing education focused on anesthesiology care. It is advantageous if you have previously worked as an anesthesiology nurse in the operating department, but it is not a requirement. If you have also worked in the Cosmic or Orbit journal systems, we see that as an advantage. Since our work is often governed by documents in Swedish, you need to have good knowledge of the language, both spoken and written.

You who apply are calm and stable as a person. We see that you plan and structure your work, as well as quickly prioritize and adapt to changing circumstances when the situation requires it. You have a good ability to collaborate with others by listening and communicating in a clear and constructive manner.

Working hours: Schedule with rotation for days, evenings, nights, weekends
Location: Västerås

Start date by agreement.
