Responsibilities

As an X-ray nurse with us, you will work with standard tasks within conventional radiology. You will meet both child and adult patients, conducting scheduled examinations and handling urgent referrals.

The work involves close collaboration with colleagues within the radiology department and other professional groups to ensure safe, secure, and high-quality diagnostics as an important part of the patient's care process. You will work in a modern, digital environment where medical technology equipment and image management systems are central tools.

About the Workplace

The Radiology Department in Sala is part of the Radiology Clinic in Region Västmanland, a regional operation with radiology services at all four hospitals in the county (Västerås, Köping, Sala, and Fagersta).

At the department in Sala, we perform conventional X-ray examinations during daytime on weekdays. The operation is aimed at both children and adults for scheduled examinations, and we also handle urgent referrals in close cooperation with other healthcare services. You will be part of a dedicated team where we together contribute to safe and patient-centered diagnostics in the care chain. Radiology is an important function that supports other clinical units in their work, focusing on the needs and care of patients.

The operation in Sala has a weekday character with good predictability in working hours, and you will have the opportunity to work in a fun and meaningful diagnostic environment where your skills make a difference every day. It is a small department where currently 2 X-ray nurses are employed.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed X-ray nurse, preferably with experience in the field. If you have previous experience in similar operations, it is an advantage. As you will need to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, relatives, and colleagues, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required.

Permanent employment within the Radiology Clinic, located in Sala. Daytime, 100%. Start date by agreement.
