Job Responsibilities

As a district nurse/nurse, you will have a varied role at the health center, which includes assessing health issues during scheduled appointments, in telephone consultations, or digitally via 1177 direct. If you have experience working with dementia, memory clinics will also be part of your duties. You will collaborate closely with your nursing colleagues as well as with other professionals at the health center. Improvement work for the entire health center is an important part of daily operations.

About the Workplace

The 11 region-operated health centers and the Health Centers' Emergency Clinics in Västmanland are run as an intrapreneurship with a civil servant board and Region Västmanland as the owner. We have a common name, Närvården Västmanland, and we work together to provide our patients with the best primary care in the county. We continuously invest in the development of our workplaces to meet the future's primary care needs.

Närvården Hallstahammar-Kolbäck is centrally located in Hallstahammar with a branch in Kolbäck. We are responsible for over 12,400 registered patients, and our unit includes doctors, district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, medical secretaries, and psychologists. Dietitians, health center staff, and occupational therapists are also present at the health center on certain days of the week. We also have MHV and BHV with associated staff. With all professional categories gathered in the same building, we form a knowledgeable and flexible unit.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse with further education as a district nurse or a trained nurse with extensive experience and an interest in primary care. Experience in dementia care is an advantage for this position. Ideally, you have experience in telephone consultations and outpatient work. You must be proficient in the Swedish language in both spoken and written forms, and you have experience with the Cosmic journal system.

We place great importance on personal suitability, flexibility, and the ability to collaborate. We are looking for someone interested in development work and collaboration with various professional categories.

Employment Conditions

The position is a one-year temporary contract from April 2026 to March 2027, full-time, with a start date to be agreed upon.

Work will take place in both Hallstahammar and Kolbäck.
