Operating Nurse for Flexible Position at the Surgical Clinic

About the Workplace

The Surgical Clinic is responsible for all surgical care in Västmanland. Parts of the day surgery operations are conducted at the hospital in Köping. The more extensive surgery, both urgent and elective, takes place in Västerås. The surgical operations consist of surgery, urology, gynecology, robotic surgery, orthopedics, vascular surgery, and ear-nose-throat surgery. There are a total of 23 operating rooms at the clinic, 5 rooms in Köping and 18 rooms in Västerås. We place great value on collaboration and individual competence development.

We are proud to be one of the most efficient clinics in Sweden, with high quality results and good patient safety. There is also an opportunity to participate in research and development projects. We are currently building a new emergency hospital which will lead to significant development of our operations.

The flexible position means that you will work at 2 of the surgical clinic's workplaces: Day Surgery Köping and Orthopedic Surgery Västerås, rotating 4 weeks at each location with a colleague in the same specialty.

The assignment is a contract for approximately 3.5 – 4 years until our move to the New Emergency Hospital takes place, and during this time, a special assignment supplement will be paid in addition to the regular salary. A clarification about the assignment will be described in a personal meeting.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialized training in surgery. We prefer that you have several years of experience in the profession, and previous work in orthopedics is an advantage. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience with the journal systems Cosmic and Orbit is desirable.
