Do you want to work in a close-knit team?
Do you want to work in a close-knit team that helps and supports each other - we have a strong group cohesion and have fun together. Join us at the Orthopedic Clinic's emergency department and welcome to an enjoyable, educational, and varied workplace with a fantastic team at the forefront of orthopedic care.
Job Responsibilities
In the department, both acutely orthopedic sick patients and patients for elective surgeries are cared for. We take care of the acute patient with varied diagnoses, primarily fractures in the musculoskeletal system, and we often care for multi-sick patients of different ages. The elective patient is primarily operated on with hip and knee prostheses or spinal surgeries. Patients come from home and are usually discharged 1 to 2 days after surgery, which requires a structured approach with short hospital stays.
With us, as a nurse, you will handle many technical care moments, which gives you a solid foundation and broad experience. Much of your work with the orthopedic patient focuses on pain relief, wound dressings, antibiotic treatment, rehabilitation, as well as pre- and post-operative care.
We have a scheduled rotation between the different teams that occurs in a structured manner, providing both variation and breadth in the work.
As a nurse with us, whether you work day/evening or night, you lead the care team and are responsible for ensuring that patients receive care based on their specific needs. You are an important contact for relatives and close ones. In the department, there are several different support functions to assist you in daily work but also to handle challenges and ensure good patient safety and high care competence. If you work on rotation, you will have the opportunity to be close to the patient in all its stages and develop by working with the entire staff group of the department and seeing the tasks during all hours of the day. Rotation with us usually means that during a schedule period of 10 weeks, you work 2 weeks on day/evening, but other proposals can be discussed.
We actively work to strengthen orthopedic care and create an attractive workplace where you have the opportunity to develop. In the department, we have some form of internal training almost every week, and we offer regular continuing education and encourage new ideas so that you can deepen your knowledge in various areas and contribute to your and the organization's development.
