We need to strengthen our team and are currently looking for 2 dedicated employees for one of our children's and youth homes in Solberga by!

Solberga by is a non-profit organization that has offered LSS accommodation and adapted primary school with a Waldorf orientation in Järna for children and young people with disabilities for over 80 years. With us, every child gets a chance to develop at their own pace and on their own terms.

About the job

In our work, we focus on low-arousal responses with the child at the center. Building relationships, motivating, and inspiring are crucial, and as an employee, you should see opportunities instead of obstacles. We work in teams and place great importance on you as an employee being actively involved and following common guidelines and action plans.

Our target group is children and young people aged 6-17 with various disabilities, and your primary task as an employee is to create a safe and secure environment for our children.

You, together with your colleagues, are responsible for shaping the children's days, and a large part of this is planning and executing leisure activities, supporting the children in daily tasks, hygiene, ADL, etc. We work with alternative communication, TAKK, and visual support. The assignment also includes handling household tasks such as cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc. We work in a home-like environment, and an important part is to create comfort and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

  • We expect you to have previous experience working with children and young people with disabilities.
  • You have an appropriate education in social care (e.g., support pedagogue, social pedagogue, nursing assistant).
  • Good Swedish in speech and writing is important as documentation and information transfer are part of the job responsibilities.
  • Driver's license B.

About the employment

Employment type: Permanent employment, we apply a 6-month probationary period.

Scope: 80-100%

Working hours: According to ongoing schedule - day, evening, weekend, and on-call.

Salary: Monthly salary

Start date: Interviews are conducted continuously, and start date according to agreement.
