About Me:

I am a positive and warm 37-year-old woman living with MS and its consequences. I have had assistance for about a year after a long wait and have finally started to establish routines in my daily life, but I am still far from the life I want to live. Every day is a new day for rebuilding my life and recovery. I live in Hökarängen, south of Söder, close to both nature and the city center, as well as close to the subway and buses. I have significant physical limitations and limited energy, but I am completely clear cognitively and communicate almost effortlessly, participating to the best of my ability in everything we do. I am a very creative person with a great interest in baking, creating, animals, and plants.

About You:

As my personal assistant, you will assist me with everything I need and want to do in my daily life that I can no longer manage on my own. This includes personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, cooking, help with eating, other household chores, as well as light exercise and stretching. For us to function well together and have a good collaboration, it is important that you are calm and empathetic, as well as attentive, creative, and solution-oriented. The job can be physically demanding at times, so it is beneficial if you are in relatively good shape. Does this sound interesting? I hope to hear from you and that we can meet!

Staffing:

This position includes an extended (and compensated) staffing assignment, which means that some weeks you must be available at times other than working hours to call in a substitute or step in yourself when intervention is required. This is Assistans i Balans's way of ensuring that our clients always have a familiar assistant by their side. The assignment is shared among all assistants working on a regular schedule.

The Position:

We are looking for someone who wants to work on a fixed rolling schedule with varied working hours, days, evenings, and weekends. To be employed, you must present a valid ID, a police record extract, and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden.
