Our Operations

The Psychiatry area has 800 employees and operates throughout the region. The majority is located in the Psychiatry House at the core area of Uppsala University Hospital.

Choose ST in adult psychiatry at Uppsala University Hospital if you want to:

• be part of a well-organized ST training program
• join an ST department with 24 colleagues
• work in modern facilities in the Psychiatry House with proximity between outpatient and inpatient care
• work at a university hospital with opportunities for research and teaching

Your Assignment

You will serve in various sections within the Psychiatry area and in different units to achieve competence goals according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations.

Primary on-call duty is included in the position and is shared between the adult psychiatric emergency department and the child and adolescent psychiatric emergency department.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is licensed or is a final-year resident with a strong interest in psychiatry. If you are licensed, please attach your license certificate to your application. To be eligible, a Swedish medical license is required. Proficiency in Swedish at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. Experience in adult psychiatry and interest/experience in research and teaching is an advantage.
