Your mission

Your qualifications

You who apply for the position should be specialist qualified in general medicine, geriatrics, or internal medicine. As a person, you are structured and proactive and are happy to contribute to the development of the operation. You are flexible, have good communication and collaboration skills, and enjoy working in a team. Our operations

The Primary Care Unit in Östhammar has 12-18 care places and is located at the care center in the same building as the health center. The unit is operated by the municipality with nursing assistants, nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists working in teams. The Uppsala region staffs the unit with doctors and junior doctors.

The Primary Care Unit is a joint operation for the municipality and Region Uppsala, focusing on a mid-care form between inpatient care, municipal home care, and municipal care. With us, elderly patients who need inpatient care but do not require the hospital's specialist resources are primarily cared for. Patients are admitted from the Mobile Primary Care Team, health center, or emergency department.
