Our Operations

The area of operations for geriatrics, rehabilitation medicine, and pain center is characterized by multidisciplinary teams, something we are very proud of. Our area of operations has a broad mission where it is meaningful, exciting, and developing to work. There are good opportunities to participate in development work and research; we implement new knowledge in care.

Within the geriatrics section, we provide highly specialized geriatric care for the elderly patient group. The geriatrics department consists of three inpatient wards and a memory and geriatrics clinic.

Memory and Geriatrics Clinic

The memory and geriatrics clinic is a geriatric outpatient clinic with three current focuses. We are a specialist clinic for the investigation and follow-up of individuals with suspected or diagnosed cognitive disorders. Patients come to us by referral. We have a multiprofessional team that collaborates around the patient.

We conduct day and home rehabilitation for geriatric patients, primarily with stroke, Parkinson's disease, or osteoporosis, but the patient groups may expand as outpatient care will play a more significant role in the future. Here, the work is based on the multidisciplinary team where our health professionals play a central role in rehabilitation. The third aspect is research. We conduct clinical drug trials, academic investigator-initiated studies, and quality register studies primarily within dementia disorders, but upcoming studies will also include other diseases.

Your Mission

We need to strengthen our team with an occupational therapist and are now looking for you who want to become our new colleague. The foundation of our work is the multiprofessional team, based on a holistic view of the patient.

In the role of occupational therapist at the memory clinic, you are part of the team and contribute to investigations regarding cognitive disorders.

In day and home rehabilitation, you participate in referral assessments and rehabilitation rounds where you together with the team develop plans for the patients. You will be an important piece of the puzzle in assessing patients who are called to the patient groups coming to day rehabilitation. The position includes home visits to patients who need help with training and assistive devices after returning home from the hospital.

In collaboration with doctors, the occupational therapist performs driving ability tests for patients who have had a stroke or have early dementia. We use UFO.

If interested, there is an opportunity to take on a role in the research conducted at the clinic, in the form of various assessment scales.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist, preferably with a few years of experience from clinical work in neurology and/or knowledge of cognition as well as experience in teamwork. If you have experience from home care/rehabilitation, we see it as an advantage. You should have a genuine interest in the elderly patient. If you are newly educated but find this interesting, you are of course welcome to apply as well.

The work involves close contact with patients and relatives, which requires good communication skills, flexibility, and good collaboration abilities.

You have the ability to prioritize and create structure among your various tasks. Since we have different parts in our clinic, there is an opportunity for varied work if desired. We work systematically to improve operations, so if you want to influence and come up with good ideas, we see that as positive. We also see that you have a B driver's license.
