Medical Unit of Rehabilitation
Our 1800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within rehabilitation, and we provide advice over the phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we adapt our offerings based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.
Welcome to the Medical Unit of Rehabilitation!
We are expanding the dietitian group and offering a permanent full-time position as a dietitian starting by agreement. You will be part of a dietitian group with four other dietitians.
Region Uppsala and Close Care and Health invest in secure employment and good benefits through our collective agreement, read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/jobba-hos-oss/bli-var-nya-kollega/formaner/ (https://regionuppsala.se/jobba-hos-oss/bli-var-nya-kollega/formaner/)).
Your mission
Your tasks involve identifying and treating nutritional problems in patients with disabilities. We work both with the patient and, in many cases, their network. We meet adults and children with, for example, movement disabilities, various syndromes, intellectual disabilities, and autism. The goal is to achieve the best possible nutritional status in combination with a functioning meal situation. This is to provide conditions for a functional everyday life and the opportunity to benefit from other treatments. Our patients may, for example, need enteral nutrition, energy enrichment, or consistency-adapted diets. The work involves collaboration with healthcare neighbors, municipal activities, and various authorities.
Your qualifications
We are looking for a licensed dietitian, preferably with some years of experience. It is important that you have an interest in the target groups of rehabilitation, and it is good if you have previously worked with people with disabilities. The work requires good teamwork skills and you should enjoy and have experience working in teams, but also have the ability to work independently. A driver's license is a requirement.
As a person, you are clear in your communication and structured in your work approach. You have good pedagogical skills, are attentive, and can easily establish contact with both patients, relatives, and colleagues.
