About Gåvsta School
Gåvsta School is a municipal F–9 school located in the scenic Rasbo, about 18 km northeast of Uppsala. The school has approximately 500 students and is organized into four working teams: F–3, 4–6, 7–9, and after-school care. The school area offers good opportunities for physical activity with proximity to illuminated trails, ball fields, and a sports hall.
The school's vision is to create a safe environment where every student has the opportunity to develop and succeed. The student health team is a central part of the operation and consists of a multidisciplinary team with a school nurse, school psychologist, counselor, special educator/teacher, as well as the principal and assistant principal. The team meets regularly to follow up on interventions and promote students' well-being and goal achievement.

Job Description
The student health team primarily works preventively and health-promoting and aims for all students to achieve the educational goals. As a school nurse, you will work with preventive student health work through health conversations and health examinations according to Uppsala municipality's basic program for the medical services of student health. The assignment also includes vaccinating according to the general vaccination program for children, offering students basic healthcare services, and participating in school doctor appointments.
The school nurse is part of the school's student health team and collaborates closely with teachers, guardians, and authorities outside the school. The work requires good collaboration skills, a holistic perspective, and flexibility, and you as a person should be structured, able to plan and prioritize your work.
As a school nurse, you are employed directly under the principal, who is responsible for the student health work. The operations manager and the medical leadership responsible are at the central level and are responsible for the medical services of student health (EMI) routines and support for the principal and school nurse. You are also part of a professional network with other school nurses in the municipality with regular meetings for quality development and support in your work.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse with a specialist nursing education in one of the following areas: district nurse 75 credits, child and youth 60 credits, or school nurse 60 credits. We expect you to have experience working as a school nurse and good computer skills. The work requires that you have good oral and written skills in Swedish.
We would also like you to have experience working in a student health team. If you have knowledge of Prorenata, it is considered an asset.
As a person, you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. You are empathetic and can quickly understand someone else's perspective or situation. Furthermore, you have the ability to see the big picture and view issues from a broader perspective. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. Last but not least, you collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner.
