Our Operations

The hospital's emergency department plays a central role in the operations with approximately 26,000 visits per year. The emergency department is available 24/7 for urgent visits. We receive patients of all ages with various diagnoses, many of whom are children. Our clinics and surgical operations have an elective profile focusing on surgery, orthopedics, urology, and gynecology. Our operations also include a care department where we primarily care for orthopedic patients after prosthetic surgery. Together with our partner, Akademiska sjukhuset in Uppsala, our mission is to provide the region's care at various levels.

Your Assignment

Normal tasks for a licensed junior doctor. You will start working in the department and the emergency department. Over time, we will rotate you into the primary on-call line, and you will then have the opportunity to begin your development in outpatient work and in the operating department. On-call work occurs around the clock. In the evenings and on weekends, there is backup on-call from home. The work is independent but with guidance and support from a specialist or senior physician in surgery, orthopedics, or urology. Here you will gain breadth, while also having the opportunity to focus on one of these profile areas, providing a good start for your future career.

Your Qualifications

Licensed physician. We consider it advantageous if you have experience working in the emergency department and are a licensed physician with an interest in surgical operations such as surgery, orthopedics, or urology. You should be able to work independently in the emergency department but, of course, with support from an experienced colleague as needed.

Your Competence

You have good judgment, strong collaboration skills, are accustomed to solving problems, and are responsible and flexible. You continuously maintain your knowledge. You work evidence-based and with the patient's best interests in focus, creating a good work climate for yourself and your colleagues. Personal suitability is highly valued.

We Offer

Temporary employment with the possibility of extension, full-time with supervision. Start date by agreement. We conduct interviews continuously and hire on an ongoing basis.
