About us:

Hacksaw Studios is a Stockholm-based game studio focused on creating innovative, high-quality gaming experiences. With a focus on performance and precision, we bring ideas to life through technical expertise and creative collaboration. We have wide distribution, and our games are played by millions of people every month by players all over the world.

We are currently seeking to expand our creative team with additional artists and are looking for both junior and senior candidates. You’ll be part of our creative game team, working closely with animators, designers, and developers.

The Role

As a 2D Artist at Hacksaw Studios, you’ll be part of the creative team bringing our games to life. This is a hands-on, creative role where you’ll work closely with developers, animators and project managers. This role is ideal for a passionate artist who values quality work, and strives to maintain a good balance of what’s best for the game.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Create graphical assets for our games
• Create reference material that front-end developers can use as a goal when implementing your designs
• Learn about the online gaming industry and stay up to date on current trends and what is popular with players
• Participate in game progress reviews and give feedback about the implementation process
• Co-operate with colleagues with similar roles

What We’re Looking For

You bring:

• A solid art portfolio that showcases your skills
• Experience with Adobe suite
• Preferably experience with After Effects, Spine or similar animation tool

Nice-to-have:

• Game development experience
• Social gaming experience
• An eagerness to evolve in game production and collaboration
• A personal interest in games and an understanding of the industry, or a desire to learn
