We now welcome a nurse to our Gynecology Emergency Department in Lund! Here we offer you an exciting and varied job where we work with a wide range of diagnoses within our specialty.

The Women’s Health Care area (VO) has about 800 employees and consists of both gynecological and obstetric operations. Services are provided both in Malmö and Lund at Skåne University Hospital (Sus). As a university hospital, we also have assignments in development and education, and successful research is conducted within the area.

The Gynecology Emergency Department is open 24/7 and receives patients of all ages. Patients come here with acute gynecological problems, all conditions within our specialty, but also with issues in early pregnancy (up to week 22), postpartum problems, or postoperative issues after tumor surgery, as well as individuals who have been subjected to abuse.

In our gynecology department, we focus on gynecological cancer and are a regional cancer center. Here we work with a focus on pre- and postoperative care but also receive patients who seek our emergency department and require admission.

With us, there is the opportunity for rotation work in both the Gynecology Emergency Department and/or the gynecology department and in the VO Obstetrics and Gynecology in Lund.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a nurse, you will work with an acute flow and receive patients who come to us on their own or are referred. Your tasks will also include triaging, emergency care, assisting with examinations, and telephone advice. We have a close collaboration with the gynecology department and our operating department.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. Experience as a nurse in gynecology, oncology, surgery, or emergency departments is an advantage for the position.

As a person, you are proactive, have a flexible approach, and provide good service. You have a genuine interest in women’s health and enjoy working in a team. Additionally, you contribute to good collaboration and a positive work environment. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
