Within the area of operation (VO) emergency and medicine, we provide specialized basic healthcare for a catchment area of over 100,000 inhabitants. Approximately 240 employees work here in cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonary medicine, rheumatology, endoscopy, internal medicine, gastroenterology, neurology, and emergency medicine.

There are three inpatient wards and one day care ward within the VO. All three inpatient wards are general internal medicine wards, one of which is focused on cardiology and one ward specifically for stroke. The specialist clinics in cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonary medicine, rheumatology, endoscopy, internal medicine, gastroenterology, and neurology belong to the area of operation for outpatient care and rehabilitation. The emergency department at Trelleborg Hospital is part of the management of Close Care and Health.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a consultant physician/specialist physician in internal medicine with a broad background in internal medicine who wants to become part of our team.

As a specialist physician/consultant in internal medicine, you will be part of the medical team in the VO emergency and medicine at Trelleborg Hospital. The position includes work in outpatient care, general internal medicine wards, and the emergency department. You are also expected to participate in the backup on-call duties within general internal medicine. Additionally, you are expected to contribute to the development of evidence-based care and be prepared to supervise students and colleagues. You will take responsibility for operational development and lead continuous improvement efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed specialist physician in internal medicine with a broad background in internal medicine and authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have language skills in Swedish that correspond to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's language scale. Experience in emergency internal medicine is an advantage.

As a person, you have a professional approach and work solution-focused. We see that you have good communicative and empathetic abilities as a good approach towards patients and colleagues is important to us. Many of our patients are medically complex, thus a broad background in internal medicine is of great importance as well as interest and ability to supervise and work in teams. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
