NU Health Care is part of the Västra Götaland region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Northern Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area includes 280,000 residents. Together, we are about 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers varied nature with both sea, mountains, forests, and lakes.

Description

Our clinic is the base of the specialist psychiatric operation where the goal is to provide good care based on science and proven experience, including assessment, investigation, treatment, and rehabilitation.

The target group consists of individuals in need of psychiatric specialist care for, for example, severe anxiety disorders, serious depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, complex trauma, or severe personality disorders.

As a psychologist with a focus on trauma, you will be part of our workgroup consisting of psychologists, doctors, social workers, psychotherapists, nurses, occupational therapists, caregivers, and secretaries.

We are a workgroup with well-established colleagues with different specializations under the same roof, and we have a good work community. We view competence supply as mutually beneficial, as we believe that the desire to contribute to the development of the operation increases when one feels inspired in their daily work.

There are good opportunities for further education, for example, within the framework of the VG region's specialist training for psychologists. The clinic's goal is to gradually increase the number of specialist psychologists, but other development options outside the specialist framework are also highly valued. We view competence supply as mutually beneficial, as we believe that the desire to contribute to the development of the operation increases when employees feel inspired in their daily work.

Responsibilities

As a psychologist in the trauma team within specialist psychiatry, you will work with assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with trauma-related issues. You will provide evidence-based psychological interventions, both individually and in groups, and collaborate in a cross-professional team. The work also includes consultation, education, and documentation, as well as participation in the team's development work.

Qualifications

Licensed Psychologist with further education in trauma. Experience in adult psychiatric treatment and investigation work is desirable. Further education in psychological differential diagnosis and investigation methodology is meritorious.

Specialist qualifications and other training in specific treatment methods such as CBT, PDT, or EMDR are considered an advantage. You should have an eclectic approach as we appreciate different perspectives both among psychologists and between professions.

Other

We conduct interviews continuously throughout the application period.

We want all our employees to be involved in creating a workplace characterized by employee participation, involvement, gender equality, job satisfaction, respect, and shared development. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, where qualities such as collaboration skills and the ability to work independently are important.

When filling positions within psychiatry, we always request an extract from the suspicion and criminal record register. This request is handled by the employer.

Welcome with your application!
