About Us

We are one of the largest dietitian units in Västra Götaland and are a team that enjoys working together and actively strives to develop as an organization and as employees.

The dietitian unit operates throughout Västra Götaland and offers all health centers access to a dietitian. We have offices in four locations: Borås, Gothenburg, Skara, and Uddevalla. The team consists of a total of 44 dietitians and two administrators. Patients of all ages come to the dietitian unit via referrals from doctors or nurses at the health center who have treatment responsibility for underlying diseases. We also provide services to pregnant women referred by midwives.

Our highest priority is severely ill elderly individuals with malnutrition, and we collaborate closely with municipal care and nursing. Other patient groups primarily include individuals with diabetes, overweight, obesity, and gastrointestinal diseases. We also conduct qualified advisory conversations about eating habits for at-risk groups.

About the Job

You will belong to the office in Uddevalla and have primary responsibility for four to six health centers in the Fyrbodal area. The main work occurs through digital healthcare contacts, via phone and video. If necessary, physical appointments will be conducted at the health center where the patient is registered. Home visits may also occur if needed.

As a dietitian in the Primary Care Dietitian Unit, you will work according to the nutrition treatment process, which involves investigation, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of nutrition-related problems and documentation according to NCP. The work includes both individual healthcare contacts and group treatment/patient education. The job also involves prescribing nutritional products. The target group for this position is adults with nutrition problems related to illness.

In this role, you will work with the overall care of the patient in collaboration with other professionals, primarily doctors, nurses, and midwives, where you provide nutritional expertise. The assignment also includes consultation on nutritional issues for healthcare staff via phone and email. The dietitian unit is constantly evolving, and improvement work is ongoing in collaboration within the group and with other partners. The job entails personal responsibility for planning and structuring your workday.

About You

We are looking for a licensed dietitian with clinical experience in primary care. Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a requirement, both spoken and written. As travel is involved in the position, a B driver's license is also required. You need to be computer literate as digital technology for communication is frequently used during video visits. You should also have the ability to work independently with nutritional assessments, dietary treatment, prescribing nutritional products, and advising patients and those around them.

As a person, we seek someone who is structured, independent, flexible, and able to work in a team. Furthermore, we see that you have a consultative and unpretentious working style and are service-oriented in your interactions with patients and colleagues. We want you to participate in the development work together with colleagues within the unit.

Conditions

You need to be physically present at the office in Uddevalla at least one day a week and at health centers in Fyrbodal as needed, a few days a month. There is also the possibility of working from home one to two days a week.
