About the Diabetes Clinic

At the Medicine Clinic, Diabetes, we work together for the patient with the patient. At our Diabetes Clinic, podiatrists, dietitians, social workers, secretaries, nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors work in teams.

Our goal is for the patient to maintain a good quality of life with as few complications as possible. Patients should receive the right conditions to manage their self-care and handle their diabetes effectively. This means meeting the patient's needs for aids to make everyday life function optimally. We always ensure that the patient receives individualized care and a good reception. We are very proud of our high competence and specialist knowledge, and through continuous learning, we maintain this.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include ensuring that aids are used correctly, interpreting and analyzing glucose curves, adjusting insulin doses, pump settings, prescribing aids, and coordinating routine checks. The focus is on the patient's daily care. You will have your own patient clinic (PAS) but will also act as a consultant for inpatients at Sahlgrenska University Hospital.

We work in the Melior and Journalia/Diabase journal systems as well as Elvis, which is our patient administration system. We conduct a number of digital care meetings and work in Care and Health. Since we have a large number of patients with insulin pumps and CGM, we also work with Glooko and CareLink Clinic, as well as with patient education individually and in groups.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse with further education in diabetes (at least 15 ECTS) or a licensed nurse with a specialist nursing degree in diabetes. We prefer that you have experience working in outpatient care.

You help patients find the technical aids that facilitate their everyday life. It is important that you are interested in and updated on the technical equipment.

You need to have good knowledge of data and technology and be technically inclined as technology in diabetes care is continuously updated.
