In ward 34, growth has never been more in focus than it is now. We care for the hospital's smallest patients and ensure they grow strong. We are proud to announce that we have opened Sweden's most modern neonatal intensive care unit!

This gives us better conditions to provide good and safe care that is even more focused on the needs of our patients and their families. This means, for example, that we offer better privacy and confidentiality, we conduct advanced intensive care, and we are implementing a new working method focused on privacy and hygiene.

Description of the Department

In the neonatal department, we care for premature infants from week 28, sick newborns, and newborns who have care needs during their early days.

We provide comprehensive and high-tech care that includes:

  • Neonatal care
  • Intensive care
  • Home care

The department currently has 12 places, which are allocated to intensive care with ventilator treatment and general observation and nursing. In the midst of this, we value the family, which is an important part of our care. A large part of the work therefore consists of supporting, teaching, and empowering parents. We have a strong focus on zero separation between mother/parents and the child. We also have close cooperation with the delivery department and maternity ward.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse, preferably with specialist training in pediatric care, intensive care, or another relevant field. Previous experience as a nurse is desirable but not a requirement. Experience in neonatal care is also an advantage.

You will be surrounded by highly qualified colleagues from various professional groups and have strong support from our dedicated doctors. Therefore, we value your personal suitability and ability to collaborate just as much as your formal qualifications.
