What we are looking for

We are now looking for 1 new occupational therapist/hand therapist to join our team at Sportrehab Domkyrkan. An opportunity for you who are interested in developing and shaping the future of healthcare with us.

We currently have occupational therapists specialized in either hand rehabilitation or mental health, with some opportunity to work with all types of patients as well.

You should be an independent occupational therapist who finds it exciting to work within a growing organization in constant development. We prefer that you have a few years of experience, preferably within primary care rehabilitation. It is a merit if you have experience and interest in hand rehabilitation. As a person, you are positive and solution-oriented. You are independent but also cooperative, have a good ability to plan and organize your workdays and tasks, and enjoy creating new, good social relationships and contacts. Since we have a sports medicine focus, we would like you to have experience or interest in sports or training in some regard.

The position is a permanent full-time employment.

Workday at Sportrehab

The main tasks involve receiving and treating patients with hand or elbow issues but may also include other occupational therapy interventions in primary care to varying extents, largely driven by your interests. Outward-facing work in the form of outreach and promoting Sportrehab and your own profile and skills to increase patient flow generally to Sportrehab but also to specific target groups for yourself is also included.

The position is primarily based at Sportrehab Domkyrkan but may also involve some work at one of our other units.

You will receive training and support from our highly competent staff and experienced specialists in hand rehabilitation or mental health if applicable.

You will receive substantial support for further education in occupational therapy and sports medicine. Sportrehab aims to provide our employees with the best conditions for evidence-based further development in sports medicine rehabilitation. Eight doctoral theses have been presented from Sportrehab, and six more are in progress. We continuously conduct staff training and team discussions to broaden our employees' competencies. Each year, we hold several open courses on sports medicine rehabilitation. Over the years, Sportrehab has conducted around 50 courses.

About Sportrehab

We are a team of about 50 physiotherapists, 7 occupational therapists/hand therapists, and 1 orthopedic surgeon primarily focused on sports medicine rehabilitation of patients with musculoskeletal issues. Sportrehab has over 35 years of experience in sports medicine primary care rehabilitation and research/development. Sportrehab aims to lead the development of sports medicine rehabilitation in Sweden. We strive to always stay updated on the latest research and work from an evidence-based approach in our clinical practice. We have a very good collaboration with doctors and other physiotherapists around Gothenburg. We currently have 3 rehabilitation units in Gothenburg with well-equipped gyms for all conceivable sports medicine rehabilitation and training.
