Working at hospice means making every day – and every night – meaningful.

At Hospice Helhetsvården, we cherish life as long as it lasts and provide support to both guests and their loved ones as life comes to an end. We are now looking for you who want to be part of our team as a night nurse and contribute to palliative care where wholeness, presence, and humanity are at the center.

Your Role

As a night nurse, you have a special responsibility to create relief and security for our guests during the night hours. You work in an independent team together with a nursing assistant, in a nurse-led operation supported by doctors from Sahlgrenska Hospital.

In this role, you are responsible for palliative care focusing on symptom relief, medical assessments, and follow-ups, as well as delegating health and medical care interventions and providing guidance. The work is based on self-determination, consensus, and respect for each person's unique situation. Collaboration, good communication, and the ability to make well-founded decisions are central parts of the role.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced nurse with a heart for palliative care who enjoys working at night. You create security in your interactions with our guests and their loved ones and meet their needs with empathy, sensitivity, and a touch of creativity. You are used to making your own assessments, take clear responsibility in your role, and are a good support for the nursing assistant you work with.

Qualifications

  • Licensed nurse
  • At least two years of experience in the nursing profession
  • Good experience with medication management and medical technology equipment
  • Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Experience or education in specialized palliative care is an advantage

Hospice Helhetsvården

Hospice Helhetsvården is located in the nature-close Bräcke Park and has space for ten guests and their loved ones, who often visit and sometimes stay overnight. Here, nurses and nursing assistants work, and the team also includes a social worker and a deacon. With us, you work in a calm and warm environment, alongside colleagues characterized by professionalism and strong collegial support.

Bräcke Diakoni - With us, you become part of something bigger.

We are part of Bräcke Diakoni, a non-profit organization that allows our values to permeate both our methods, culture, and leadership. This means:

  • an employer grounded in a strong humanitarian value base,
  • a work environment characterized by participation and influence,
  • work where you contribute to making a difference for people and society at large, security through a good working environment, close leadership, collective agreements, and good benefits.
