Are you an engaged nursing assistant with an interest in working with individuals who have dementia? Then perhaps day activities are for you! We are currently looking for a nursing assistant for our day activities.
Our operations focus on promoting health and well-being for individuals with dementia through day activities. The aim is to break loneliness and isolation and provide support in maintaining both mental and physical abilities through a meaningful and stimulating environment. This is to give individuals better conditions to stay at home longer and live a more independent life. Our working method is based on a person-centered approach and creating good relationships with our guests.

About the Position and Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who can complement our team and contribute to ensuring that our guests always receive a professional and warm welcome. We value your personal suitability and would like you to have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. We seek someone who contributes to good collaboration and a positive work environment.
In this role, tasks are based on a person-centered approach focusing on our guests, while we also work to be a valuable support and relief for relatives. You will be part of a workgroup with close collaboration between colleagues and other partners, such as relatives, care managers, and home care services. Together, you will plan and carry out activities tailored to the guests' needs and abilities. The work also includes administrative tasks and documentation.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Proof of protected professional title as a nursing assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare.
- Work experience in care and nursing.
- Experience working with dementia for at least three years.
- Computer skills and ability to document.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience working in day activities.
- We would like you to have experience leading activities for the target group and good communication skills.
- Since we have excursion buses for day activities, it is desirable that you have a B driver's license.
As a person, you need to be able to adapt quickly and see opportunities, and have a solution-focused approach. You have the ability to understand others' perspectives and can empathetically handle others' feelings with a calm and friendly demeanor. You should be able to convey information clearly and understandably, tailored to the individual's needs and circumstances.
About the Workplace
The Department of Health and Prevention is responsible for health-promoting and preventive measures. The focus is on developing new forms of social community and participation, as well as combating involuntary loneliness and increasing the quality of life for the elderly. We implement measures according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Health and Medical Services Act. The department has been HBTQI-certified by RFSL since 2024.
Requirement for Criminal Record Extract
