The adult psychiatry in Helsingborg includes both outpatient clinics and inpatient departments and is responsible for specialist psychiatric care in the ten municipalities of northwestern Skåne. Around 30 employees work at the clinic, distributed among three teams where psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, caregivers, and medical secretaries work closely together. There is a broad competence and a close collaboration between the professions that creates good conditions for both learning and development.

The clinic conducts psychiatric assessments and investigations as well as treatment in the form of medication, psychotherapy, psychosocial interventions, psychiatric nursing, and rehabilitative measures. The target group is adults over eighteen years old residing in Helsingborg municipality with conditions that fall under the specialist psychiatry's mandate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you will work in one of our teams and play an important role in the patient's journey through care. You work independently but always closely with colleagues from different professions. The work includes, among other things, following up on patients' well-being and medication, both in physical visits and via phone. You provide ongoing telephone advice, perform triage, conduct ADHD assessments, and take urine toxicology samples. You hold stabilizing conversations and psychoeducational interventions, conduct joint assessments with doctors, and maintain regular contact with relatives and other care providers.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with permission to work within Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. Previous work experience in psychiatric care and knowledge of the Melior journal system is considered an advantage. A specialist education in psychiatry is also meritorious.

We are looking for someone who finds psychiatry stimulating and meaningful. You have good judgment, confidence in your professional role, and the ability to see each patient's individual needs. You need to be able to work independently, take responsibility within your assignment, and at the same time contribute to good collaboration in the team. A professional and warm approach is a given for you. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
