Vårdcentralen Södertull is located in central Lund with good commuting options and is one of Lund's largest health centers with a diverse staff with broad expertise. We have approximately 11,300 registered patients of various ages. The medical staff consists of a mix of specialists in family medicine, resident physicians, and interns. Additionally, medical secretaries, nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, dietitians, social workers, psychologists, and physiotherapists work at the health center. We operate in large airy premises that are well adapted for the operation where everyone fits under one roof.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Here we offer a supportive educational climate with continuous supervision on your path to specialist physician competence. With us, you will have the opportunity to follow various care processes with complex considerations in close collaboration with competent colleagues and our healthcare neighbors. Additionally, you will work with common tasks at the health center, such as your own consultations with both planned and acute visits, child health care (BVC), home healthcare, and special housing. Furthermore, you will also act as support to nurses and other healthcare staff in their work. Your role plays an important function at the health center, and it is therefore expected that you are ready to take an active role in the care provided under supervision. Team collaboration where different competencies and experiences enrich and complement each other is fundamental to our working method.

As a new employee with us, you will receive an introduction tailored to your experiences so that you can integrate into the operation smoothly. If specialization training becomes relevant, you will collaborate with your supervisor and the ST study director to create a joint plan for your education. You will have your own patient list that you are responsible for both as a junior physician and ST.

Furthermore, we expect you to be involved and proactive in improvement work and operational development. We use speech recognition, video meetings, chat, etc. in our daily work. You are also expected to have a digital consultation.

A permanent position as a resident physician (ST-läkare) is preceded by a temporary position as a junior physician for three to six months in accordance with regional guidelines for filling ST physician positions within primary care.

Regarding formal requirements, you need to have completed your internship (AT) or equivalent (BT) and be a licensed physician authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare and have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
